Consultancy Protocol

This structured approach to defining our challenges, gaining input from others, and finding time to reflect has helped us time and again to deepen our practice. Educators meet in groups of three, setting aside 45 minutes to an hour in professional learning settings to work through the protocol. We also have modified this to do a flash consultancy, taking just 15 minutes to dig into one teacher’s problem. We know teachers who have used this protocol in informal settings as well—grabbing three peers after school to help them problem-solve.
